Going home, first bath and first Dr. appt :)

We got to go home on November the 28th (Wednesday)...we were so glad to go home to our house and our other sweet baby Allie Kate!

Finally going home...

 

Allie Kate had dance class on Wednesday and came home straight from dance and wanted to love on her baby sister :)

Bath time :) We gave Ava Grace her first bath the night we got home from the hospital and sadly I only have like 2 pictures because Daddy was in charge of pics and video...

First Dr. appointment

We had Ava Grace's first Dr.appt this morning and it actually went pretty well...the hardest part was getting everyone ready on time, but Allie Kate helped out so much I was so proud of my sweet doll! We were running around like crazy people and Ava Grace was in her swing while Heath was in the shower and I was blow drying my hair and Ava started crying and Allie ran and got her passy and sat there and held it in her mouth while she was swinging...she loves her so much :) We made it to the appt and everything looks great with sweet Ava Grace!

Ava Grace Vaughn :)

Our sweet Ava Grace is finally here!! We went into the hospital on Sunday night to start the induction process, it felt so weird doing this all again and knowing that I would not leave that room without a baby :)

 

 

The next morning (Monday November 26th) at about 7:30am Dr. Barron came in and broke my water and started the pitocin! At about 9:45 I got my epidural and it was just a waiting game from there!

During the day we had to turn the pitocin off several times because Ava Grace's heart rate would drop with bigger contractions so it took a little longer than expected (later we found out that she had the cord around her neck). We pushed for about 2 hours and then at 4:07pm our sweet angel was born :)

She is absolutely perfect and sweet as can be...and she looks JUST like Allie Kate as a newborn! She was 19 1/2 in long and weighed 6 pounds and 11 oz!

 

 

And a certain little girl is absolutely in LOVE with her baby sister :) Which makes me the happiest momma in the world! Allie Kate has been SO sweet about Ava Grace and wanting to hold her and kiss and hug on her and feed her a passy!

My sweet girl came to the hospital everyday but the day we were going home to see us and stayed for a while and she was so good...I'm so proud of how sweet my big girl has been!
