Big sister in the waiting room
They probably don't have any "handberciser" left in that whole office...teach them not to leave us in the waiting room for an hour and a half haha
sweetest baby I know :)
this goofy girl loves her sisters car seat and wanted to ride in it to the car :)
Dr.Bill is a great doctor but every time I have to take one of the girls I swear I am changing doctors because it takes SO long! We were there for 3 hours (and I know that may not seem so bad but with a 2 month old and a 3 year old that is a LONG time). Luckily they were both so good the whole time!
Ava did excellent she didn't fuss at all until her shots and right after her 5 shots (I know ridiculous right?) and her oral polio vaccine she was fine after about 15 seconds :) I was so glad that she did so well!
Tuesday morning Allie got my cell phone and called her Nana (along with about 10 other people haha) and talked her into coming and getting her and taking her to the park to play since it was warm (about 72 degrees in January!) and then me and Ava met Allie, Nana, and Aunt Ju to eat at our place for lunch. Nana had taken Allie to Kmart and she had found this Christmas dress on clearance and Allie LOVED it and kept calling it her wedding dress haha :) So we had to have a wedding party that night when Heath got home from work and Allie was SO excited about this wedding party :)
Ready for the park :) She is such a little sassy thing :)
Wedding party time:
Ava Grace in her white wedding party outfit :)
She thought we were all nuts dancing around in our white clothes!
Daddy dancing and being silly
Yes this is my real wedding dress haha...needless to say it did not zip!
Daddy dancing with Ava
I love my life...no I didn't have a shower that day and life is crazy hectic right now but look at my sweet girls and how fun it is :)
Allie in my wedding dress...so special to me
Wednesday morning we woke up to bad storms and since it was just me and the girls and big John was out of town and my mom and Jake were home by themselves too, I did something crazy...I loaded up both girls in the middle of the storm and drove down to her house so in case it did get bad we wouldn't be alone!
while I was rocking her I looked down and she was doing the "I love you" sign with her hand :)
tickling Jake
I have the best baby in the world...she is SO good! And she sleeps ALL the time!
Julie ended up coming over and coming back to my house to help me get the girls ready and a shower in time for dance class...and Allie didn't seem to be feeling all that great she was sneezing a lot and her cheeks were a little pink and I just thought she was having allergies (since the weather kept going back and forth so much) so I gave her some tylenol and we headed out to dance class.
When we got up there they had gotten in some recital uniforms for us to try on them and while I was trying Allie's on her she fell down and yelled (not uncommon for her because she wiggles so much so I didn't really think anything about it) and I just picked her back up and started trying the second outfit on her and it was a little big so one of the other moms was messing with it seeing how it would need to be taken up and she fell again and made the same yelling noise and this time I saw her face and could tell that it was not normal and something was happening to her and I started to cry and said I thought she may have just had a seizure or something. Well she got up and was talking to me and I asked her if she wanted to just go home and skip dance class and rest and she said she did so I loaded her and Ava Grace into the car and I had them both strapped in and I opened my door to get in and I heard Allie holler out and when I looked in the backseat I saw something no parent should ever have to experience...my baby was having a full on seizure! I ran and beat on the glass telling one of the moms to call 911 and ran to Allie's side of the car and she had purple lips and her eyes were rolled back in her head and her arms were drawn up and she was shaking and she had used the bathroom on herself so I grabbed her out of the car seat and ran inside with her and she finally stopped shaking but when she did she just laid there lifeless for what seemed like a lifetime. She finally started to regain consciousness very slowly and she couldn't really talk and it scared the life out of me! I kept thinking about parents that see their kid go from crazy fun loving and alive to not even there and wondered if I would be one of those parents but by the grace of God she very slowly came too and by the time the ambulance got there she was conscious, so me and my mom opted to take her to Children's Hospital ourselves (Heath's mom came and got Ava Grace from the dance studio) and Heath met us there from work. They said it was most likely from her fever spiking so fast, it went from very low to 102.5 very fast and they told us it doesn't matter how high the fever is it is all about how fast it goes up. She finally became herself again after about an hour in the ER. I cannot get the image of the most important thing in my life laying lifeless in my arms and I know I won't ever forget it! I am so thankful that my sweet baby is okay and I know the Lord was watching over her. I don't care if the Doctors say it's not that uncommon and nothing to worry about...I saw her little body shaking uncontrollably and her lips turn purple from not breathing and heard her poor little voice barely be able to whisper "I want my momma" even though I was the one holding her because I don't think she had regained her vision yet...that's a big deal to me and probably every other mommy on the planet! I thank God and him alone that she is okay today :)
Heath stayed home from work today to help keep an eye on Allie today and we went to Ming's to eat and she has been acting fine...in fact she performed "ghangam style" for the entire restaurant :)
And this girl slept the entire time :)
