Baby Shower for baby Olivia and my Titay :)

We had Julie's (and Olivia's :) baby shower today! She will be here in a few short weeks and I can't wait to meet her! I have never been an aunt before! I love being a mommy of course but it will also be nice to get to love on her and do all the fun stuff with her and not have to discipline or worry that she's acting crazy because I will probably think it's funny! I also can't wait for Julie to get to experience the pure love you have for your baby and no one can explain that to you...it can't be put into words the selfless love that comes with having a baby so I am VERY excited for her to get to meet her baby girl :)

5 months old!!!

I cannot believe it has already been 5 months since I first met my sweet Ava Grace! It seems like just yesterday!

My sweet Ava Grace,
            This has been a big month month for you! You said your first word, and melted my heart all at the same time :) You rolled over (finally! Dr. Bill will be happy), you are "talking" and squealing constantly and I love that you are loud already :) You also tried cereal for the first time and did pretty good with it! You had your first cold (an currently still have it...you also shared the love with me and Allie Kate).

Notice there are two spoons :) Allie Kate had to get in on the action! I think that is one reason we may wait a couple of weeks to start cereal every day because it made me a nervous wreck! 

You are the cuddliest squishy baby and I love that you just let me love all over you and squeeze you :) You laugh all the time...I know that if I get after your neck or arms you will giggle like crazy! You still don't have any teeth but you are chewing on everything you can get your hands on so it may happen soon. You are doing so good sitting up, I think by 6 months you will be sitting on your own because you are already almost able to!

You are sleeping so good now days you go to bed every night at about 7:30pm and wake up at around 5am and get in my bed and eat and then sleep until about 8am :) You take a good morning nap at around 9:30-10 that normally lasts 1.5-2 hrs....afternoon naps are all over the map right now you don't take a very long nap so you end up taking two 30 minute naps in the afternoons most of the time (maybe that will get better). I lay you down awake most of the time for naps and bed time and you talk and squeal and then just go to sleep (it still amazes me for some reason).

Mama, Mcwane, flowers, and friends :)

First of all I want to say I must be the worst mama EVER because I have not written a blog about my sweet Ava Grace saying her first word.....MAMA!!!! She said it last Sunday as in (April the 13th...4.5 months) and she was in her bed going down for a nap and she started fussing and Heath went in to put her passy in and I was watching her on the monitor and she said as plain as day "Mama" and I thought surely I had heard wrong and Heath came back in the room grinning ear to ear and asked if I heard that she just said Mama! She has said it 5 or 6 times really plain like that since then but she also says "maaa maaa maaa" when she's mad and I can not get her to say it she just says it when she wants to :) I'll take it! Allie Kate said "Dada" first and didn't say "Mama" until she was 9.5 months old and even then it was only when she was mad and fussing at me!

We went to the Mcwane center with out friends (the Headley's) this past Friday! I usually take Allie Kate there by myself and I must say it is way more fun (for her and me) when we go with people because she has some one to play with (and I am not digging in dirt or fake snow with her haha).

Friday I actually went out with some girls for a MUCH needed girls night :) We went and ate and still had some time to kill before our movie so what else could we do but go in David's Bridal and have my 31 week pregnant sister try on wedding dresses...yes I know we are a very mature bunch :)

We went to see the worst movie I have ever seen "The Host" but it was so fun because we literally laughed the entire time (and it is not a comedy) and by 11 pm (yes I stayed out pretty late!) Heath was texting me to come home because Ava was up screaming! and I'm not going to lie I kind of enjoyed that :)

Saturday Heath and Allie Kate went down to the A-Day game in Tuscaloosa...Allie Kate was SO excited :)

Sunday after church we dressed the girls in their matching outfits and took our "flower picture" that I have taken every year of Allie Kate by a certain bush of flowers in our back yard (it's not a super rare plant or anything it's just something I have done and will do until we move...maybe I should dig the plant up and take it with us...haha or just plant a new one!)

I think they look a lot alike! They are about the same age in the pictures (Allie was about a month older I believe)

And I cant seem to find her at 2 but I know I took one of her :) 

Ava Grace had a stopped up nose and then a day later Allie Kate did too and at first we thought it was allergies but now that I also have come down with the same thing I think it's a little cold :( 

Ever since Allie had her seizure with a fever I am such a freak about her when she even feels warm I start medicating and Monday night she had Benadryl and Tylenol and she was pretty much out of it and she "made herself this chair to watch t.v. in"  she looks pretty wired!

The wig has made a reappearance in our house!

We went to hang out with Nana for a little bit after going to hobby lobby and Target on Tuesday (we are trying to get ready for Julie's baby shower this weekend) 

Allie loves this nasty little hampster she sticks her hands all down in the cage and pets and grabs at the little varmit....yuck!

We have been working on a diaper cake for Julie's shower and Allie helped me so much! She helped me put rubber bands around the diapers once I rolled them (all 180 of them!)

Today before dance we went to Zaxby's with lots of friends to eat lunch and Allie Kate was in hog heaven because Landon and Eli were there! Her and Landon screamed and played the entire time and I am pretty sure the workers were about ready to kick us out!

This sweet doll had a good time too and there were plenty her age too (Caleb and Hadley were both there too :)

After dance both girls napped at the same time (and the angels sang) so I got some laundry done and the house picked up :)
