The girls got their Easter baskets! Allie was so excited this year! I haven't talked about Easter baskets or the bunny really because I get irritated that every holiday about Jesus we have to have this distraction to take away from it...I'm not a prude, I like Santa and Easter baskets just as much as the next momma but I didn't want Allie Kate to think that's what it all about! So I made it a point this year to talk to her (and Ava haha!) about what good Friday was and what happened and how sad his family and friends were and then what happened on Easter and why.
I loved their Easter baskets this year :)
baby brother even got a little something!
My poor sick girl...she would get so excited over her basket and then say "I need to go throw up" bless her bones :(
She loved her basket!
In her new high heels, wearing her new jewelry and glasses, holding her new stuffed animal :)
Yes, I'm a dweeb...I lay all their stuff out so I can see exactly what all they got because I think one day I will love looking back at it and remembering :)
Allie Kate seemed to be feeling better and was taking a nap so I took Ava Grace down to Nana's for Easter lunch and the egg hunt while Heath napped with Allie Kate.
She was doing so good until she stepped in a mud puddle and she LOST IT! She cried and cried even after her feet were clean!
right before the mud puddle incident...you can see it in the background.
It was family picture time and it was just me and little "A-baba" we missed Allie Kate and I was sad because I know she would have loved running around hunting the eggs!
20 week bump
After the egg hunt we headed home because Heath had text me that Allie Kate woke up from nap throwing up again and had fever. When I got home we traded...I got Allie Kate and Heath took Ava Grace to Nan and Pop's for Easter dinner. Me and Allie Kate just laid around and watched cartoons and then we got in my bed and were going to watch a movie (I thought if she would go to sleep maybe she would feel better). Heath and Ava got home and she went to bed. Me and Allie were still laying in the bed and her fever spiked and she had a seizure...Heath was home so he got to witness this one and he was freaked out! Bless her heart the actual seizure only lasted 2-3 minutes but afterwards they compare it to a computer re-booting she could not move or talk and she would look at me and then Heath and whimper :( Then she closed her eyes and we could not get her to wake up or move or respond and it really scared us. We were about to take her to the ER and Heath got her to wake up and she was still sick at her stomach so we got some tylenol in her and she went back to sleep...it was a weird Easter that's for sure. Even though it wasn't what we thought our Easter was going to be like I am thankful for the real meaning of Easter...not a bunny or food...but Jesus overcoming the cross :)
On Monday we took Allie to the doctor (they wanted to see her since she had the seizure) and they pricked her finger...which she was terrified about having done but she didn't even cry! Then we went to dinner at Gran and Papa's and got their Easter baskets from them and threw eggs in the woods and enjoyed being outside and well :)
She will eat anything she was "hunting" the eggs saying "mmmm mmm" then cracked it and took a bite... GAG!
So glad this little love bug feels better!
