Ava grace is 3 months old
For three months I have gotten to love on the sweetest little baby girl and I couldn't love her more! I so enjoy all the love and snuggling and want to remember every little detail because I realize now how fast it flies by! Ava grace you are absolutely beautiful inside and out you smile all the time and are so sweet and happy :) you LOVE your sister and smile at her constantly! And she loves you so much too...she is getting so much better with you and wants to help do everything, which can be interesting :) You have gotten even more vocal and "talk" all the time and we all laugh at you when you watch baby Einstein because you literally jabber the entire time (sometimes your sister says "hush Ava grace" haha). We have started sleep training in the past week and you are doing very good and breaking my heart at the same time...not a fan of hearing you cry! You have never slept all the way until morning I believe the longest you have slept was from around 8pm-4 not sure if that counts as all night? You also have become aware of other people holding you and aren't very find of it sometimes (although it makes me feel pretty special) nana and aunt ju came over and you screamed the entire time I was in the shower while aunt ju had you and cried when nana talked to you :) I thought it was pretty funny because your big sister prefers them both to me and I know one day you probably will too :) you are so special to me and I love our time together no matter if we are just sitting there rocking or having a full blown conversation :)
You have also gotten chunkier and I love all your rolls! You haven't been to the doctor again but I would guess you probably weigh around 13 pounds and you are wearing 3 mos clothes and I think you will probably be moving out of 3 mos sleepers soon because you are long!

CIO sleep training :(
This post is just for me to remember how Ava grace does while sleep training. I didn't have this blog when we did it with Allie Kate and I really wish I could have looked back to compare. So maybe with our next sweet baby I will have something to look back on :)
Day 1: tried at nap time she cried 40 min I went in twice to comfort her but didn't pick her up (it didn't really work either) she finally spit up and was very upset so I got her up (as soon as I picked her up she hushed and went to sleep).
Bedtime she laid down at 8pm and cried about 10 minutes and went to sleep :) (woke up at around 2am and got in the bed with me:)
Day 2: she woke up at about 7:30am so her nap was at 9:40 she didn't cry at all she went straight to sleep (slept 45 min). Afternoon nap was at 1pm and she cried for about 7 minutes and went to sleep (only slept 45 min again!) got her up and fed her and while she was eating she fell back to sleep so I put her back in her bed and she fussed for about 5 min and went back to sleep (never really cried just fussed at me a little) she woke up about 2 hours later :)
Bedtime I put her down at about 7:10 and she cried for 15 minutes :( I don't think I will ever get used to that pitiful sound. She woke up at 12:30 and got in our bed.
Day 3: Ava grace woke up about 7:30 so she went down for her morning nap at 9:13 she fussed for 2 minutes (never really cried) she only slept about 45 min and we were going to get her 3 mos pics made so I didn't try to let her fuss back to sleep. She fell asleep on the way home from pics and slept about 40 minutes. I laid her down at 1:42 pm for her afternoon nap and she cried about 15 minutes and was really upset so I went in and rocked her for a minute and laid he back down awake and she cried for less than a minute and went to sleep at about 2:05pm and woke up at 4:40pm :)
Bedtime she had a bath and I laid her down at 7:22pm she never cried or fussed really just looked around and talked some she was asleep by 7:40 no crying!!!!!whoo hoooo!!!!!
Day 4: Ava woke up 2:20am and got in our bed. Woke up at 6am (tummy troubles) and was ill so at 7am I put her back in her bed she laid there and talked and looked around for about 10 min then fussed for about 10 and went to sleep at 7:22am woke up at 8:12am (50 min). Morning nap laid down at 10:02am and she got woken up at 10:50am (thanks aunt ju) she went back to sleep out to lunch and slept through allies dance. (Totaling about 3 hrs) Afternoon nap laid her down at 4:07 and she already had her passy in and was starting to close her eyes while sitting with me so I left it in when I laid her down and she went straight to sleep and woke up at 5pm.

Day 5: woke up at 7:15 and by 8:30 Ava was falling asleep in the chair with me so I laid her down at 8:40am she fussed and I went and put her passy in and it fell out like 2 min later (not a good idea!) and she cried for about 15 minutes went to sleep at 9:05am woke up crying at 9:30 let her lay in there and fuss/cry off and on got her up at 10. Laid her down at 11:55am with her passy she closed her eyes and went straight to sleep only slept 20 minutes and up again UGH very frustrated at this point 20 min naps are not going to cut it! Left her in there so see if she would go back to sleep she cried/fussed for about 10 min and was asleep by 12:40 :) thanks to a lot of prayer :) slept until 3:08 :) took a 45 minute nap in her swing while I cooked at around 4:15pm. Bedtime laid down at 7:20pm she was crying and so tired so u thought maybe if I put a passy in her mouth she would go right to sleep,wrong! So I did that at 7:30 and she spit out her passy and cried until 7:55 :( getting very discouraged with this and beginning to wonder if we started too soon or if this is going to work for sweet Ava grace...Allie took to it much faster and it hit better as the days went on and Ava seems to be doing worse as the days go by! We will give it a few more days and hopefully it will all straighten out!
Day 6: Heath kept Ava grace while I took Allie to swim lessons and to cotton tails to shop so he had her for the morning nap and said she did better cried for maybe 10-15 min and slept over 2 hrs. Afternoon nap was in her swing she went to sleep in my lap while I was talking to her papa and I just laid her in her swing (secretly I didn't want to have to come straight in from not seeing her and make her cry :( bedtime I laid her down at 7:24 and she fussed off and on until around 7:35pm woke up at 4am and got in our bed.
Day 7: woke up at 7:45am laid down for nap at 9:40 she cried and went to sleep at 9:51 woke up at 10:30 crying went in and patted and told her it was still night night she fussed and cried some until 10:40 and she was back asleep woke up 11:36. Laid down for afternoon nap at 1:48 whined a little and was asleep by 1:51 :) yay Ava grace!!!!!! Woke up at 2:45 took a cat nap around 5pm. Bedtime laid her down at 7:48 and she just laid there for about 15 min and then she fussed off and on until 8:20pm.
Day 8: woke up at 7am nana kept her so I could register Allie for school in the fall and she had gotten her to sleep rocking her and laid her down about 9am woke up at 9:45am. At about 11:50 Ava started to fall asleep while I was holding her so I roused her she was barely awake and I laid her down at 12 and as soon as I paid her down she closed her eyes and went to sleep and slept until 2:49 :) yay!!! Bedtime at 7pm laid down and she fussed for a min or two and was out!!
Day 9: woke up for the day at 8:15am laid down for morning nap at 10:20 and she fussed a few min and went to sleep. Afternoon nap laid down at 2 and she got mad so I went in and got her and have her passy to calm down and laid her back down awake with her passy and she went to sleep in about 10 min and didn't even fuss she slept about an hour and a half total time. Bedtime laid her down at 7:50pm

Cry baby :(
We started sleep training today...I absolutely can not stand it, even though I know it's what's best for my sweet girl to get her rest! We started at nap time (big mistake) and I let her cry for 10 min intervals for about 40 minutes (I would go in and run her belly and calm her down every 10 minutes) and I ended up getting her up after 40 minutes and she was clearly not going to go to sleep and spit up from crying. I felt HORRIBLE :( I thought the second time around I wouldn't be as upset as with Allie and I can honestly say I was just as upset if not more upset! So I prayed and asked The Lord if he would comfort her and help her fall asleep fast for bedtime and decided if she didn't go to sleep within 30 minutes I was just going to scratch it and try again Ina month...well my sweet angel fussed/cried for 10 minutes and went fast to sleep!!!! Whooooo hoooo day 1= success :)
Crazy lady in the house
Allie Kate how I love you...but lately you are crazy! You mean the world to me but also drive me crazy with this attitude you have. You can be as sweet as pie and two seconds later ill as a hornet :) this too shall pass and one day we will laugh about it :) Even when you are screaming and fighting mad I still love you more than life itself!

Swim lessons
We signed up this sweet girl for swim lessons to help her get used to the water before the summer
She was pretty nervous at first but the teacher was pretty good with her and even though she was still pretty apprehensive she did everything the teacher asked (well except for putting her whole face in the water)...we are at a hard age right now, Allie is very hard headed and wants her way and I need more patience :) She told me to "Shut up" several times during the lesson when she was swimming with the teacher (she says that whenever she gets scared and it drives me NUTS!) But I was proud that she at least got in the water and tried it and did pretty good for her first time!
Even though this girl has got a major attitude sometimes she is still my sweet heart :)

Ava Grace's first day in The church nursery
We took Ava grace to "Sunday school" I guess I should call it the nursery :) she has been going to big church with us but has gotten more alert and harder to keep quiet in the church service so we tried out the nursery today. I didn't put Allie in Sunday school until she was 2 yrs old so this was huge for me, but I wanted to be able to go to church and actually listen without worrying that she was about to cry or trying to keep her quiet (the girl likes to talk haha). I was sad when we got to church and I saw other babies and I'm still not sure if she will be going back to the nursery next week! But this week went pretty good (I guess, I wasn't there so I have to take their word for it!) but she looked happy and fine when we came back to get her :)

Roll tide
Allie Kate went to her first Alabama basketball game with her Daddy and Papa today :) And of course she had to dress like a cheer leader her latest obsession :)
