Happy New Years!!!

For the past few years we have had a bonfire on New Year's eve and shot little fireworks for our kids and had family over...so we carried on the tradition this year too :)
Me and the girls wore our matching monogrammed sweatshirts and then Nan showed up in hers...and then Julie came in wearing hers too!

They loved the fire and rotated between playing in the playroom downstairs and out by the fire :) They loved the sparklers and the poppers that you throw down :)

The girls ran around and played and ate smores and had a good time :)

I ended up having to bring Hudson in after a little while because it was freezing and poor little guy was exhausted!

New Years day we relaxed and played all day and then Alabama came on so we watched the game...
Real life! HAHA

Christmas with the Vaughn's 2014

This was our first Christmas as a family of 5! It was truly our best family Christmas yet, the girls were SO excited this year and it was just a special time :)

The day before Christmas Eve me and the girls went over to Julie's and made cookies with all the kids :) It went surprisingly well...even if by the end of it me and Julie were the only ones interested in baking ;) they enjoyed the finished product!

On Christmas Eve we had a pretty relaxed day. Allie Kate had been sad that Millie (her elf) was leaving on Christmas so Millie went all out...

Allie Kate was excited :)
We hung out around our house and played until mid day when we went to Nan's to eat and then the candle light service.

After the candle light service we went down to Nana's for dinner and then headed home to wait for santa!!!
Playing at Nana's

We skipped naps so that hopefully the girls would be exhausted...they were SO excited they still didn't go to sleep until after 10pm. Allie was just beside herself :)  I heard her tell Ava "I can't believe this is really happening! Santa's coming!"

Santa did come....
Huddy budy's stuff

Ava's stuff

Allie Kate's stuff

This year out kids woke up in shifts...Allie Kate came in about 7am probably the most excited I have ever seen her! She was almost shaking she was so excited :) I had threatened nicely requested several times that she wake me up before she went to see what Santa had brought her and she did so I was happy :) Ava grace woke up next at about 7:30am and we let her join her sister to see what Santa had brought her and she was excited too :)
She was so excited to see that Santa had brought her the only thing she asked for...a baby pink stuffed animal butterfly that was small like her hands :)

Another fav was this microphone :)

Another fav were Allie's roller skates...it gave us A LOT of good laughs :)

Then Huddy buddy woke up at about 8am and he was just beside himself with excitement to see what Santa left him!!

We went in our Jammies to Nana's house and opened presents and had a late breakfast with them...

Then we came home for naps and when the kids woke up we headed over to Gran and Papa's house for dinner and presents with them :)

She was making the "Hudson" face :)

We had a great Christmas with our sweet little family (best one yet!) :)
