Big girl panties at bedtime and bye bye passy!

So this past weekend Allie Kate told me that she wanted to wear big girl panties for her nap...she has been potted trained since she was just a little over 2yrs old during the day but still wore pull ups at night. She has been waking up from her naps and bedtime dry as a bone so I figured why not? She did great and has moved on to big girl panties at bedtime and naps :) Whoo hoo! She has only had 2 nights with panties so far but so far do good...no accidents :) I am so proud of that sweet girl! And she is pretty proud of herself too :)

  So passy has been getting a little out of hand lately...it's like crack to her she is obsessed and will pitch fits for it (she is supposed to only get in the car and at bedtime) and it has just been time for a while for it to go. S last night we sat at her little "new table" and wrote a letter to Santa telling him we didn't need them anymore and his reindeer can have them and hopefully he will send us a good prize ;) I kept telling her that they will be gone and let her have it for a while this morning and then we gathered them all up (surprisingly she was super helpful on telling me where they all we and helping me find them all and she was so excited) put them in a ziplock bag, put our letter to Santa in it and took them to the mailbox to be taken to the north pole!

  She didn't even act like she cared she was pretty excited...but I knew knew nap time might be a different story...and it was she looked at me in her little bed and said "uh-oh we forgot passy" and I told her they were all gone the reindeer had them now and she laughed and laid down but she is now in there singing and playing with her newest baby (a stuffed kitty named "meow") I guess the passy did kind of plug her mouth so she wouldn't really lay back there and talk that much she would be busy sucking it. But hey I am not complaining at all I figured it would be all out war for a week or so...so I will take talking and signing anyway over crying!

The next day when we woke up a wrapped present was sitting on the kitchen table from none other than SANTA!!! He came all the way from the North pole to bring Allie a new babydoll!! And she was *SO* excited!!

UPDATE: Allie Kate is still doing great without her passy (she does take a little longer to go to sleep than usual but she hasn't really even asked for it! The first day was rough it took her a good 3 hrs to fall asleep without for her nap but she is doing better now and it only takes her between 10-30 minutes to go to sleep (we are still adjusting though so hopefully she will get back to her routine) and she is still doing fantastic in her big girl panties :) She has only had one accident in about 2 weeks! GO ALLIE :) Mommy's proud!!!
