This year we went to boo at the zoo a week or so before Halloween and it was SO much fun :) We went out to eat with Jake and Candace and their girls and Julie and Chad and their kiddos :)
A few nights before Halloween we carved our pumpkin :) Allie Kate had her class bear "Blossom" that day so she helped ;) and she also her dance class halloween party...

Halloween night we had people over and attempted to trick or treat...it POURED!!! It was really pretty sad :( The kids were so excited and it rained the entire time!

Ava had it in her head that I was going to be a kitty so being the sweet mom that I am (hahahaaha!) I obliged :) As soon as we headed it out to start trick or treating Allie Kate ran off with the older kids (Landon and Eli) and she didn't want to wait on the little kids but also didn't have an umbrella so she looked like a wet rat by the time we made it around the neighborhood to get her (in the pouring rain). She told me that she almost cried because she was so wet and cold and her mascara was running but she didn't :) Bless her heart...she had a blast and came back and got dry clothes on and played like crazy :)

Me and Heath carried Hudson and Ava house to house with an umbrella and they had a good time but it just wasn't the same and it made me sad that this was how Halloween went down this year! Oh well...maybe next year, right?
